Our four previous posts, under the category Ways to Make Money Online, pointed us towards one particularly fast and easy method of how to make money bloggingautoblogging, and in particular the fine autoblogging program known as BuildABlogStore. My personal journey of how to make money online included getting started with autoblogging, and I was initially successful with BuildABlogStore.  But I quickly realized (as mentioned previously,) that autoblogging should be just one of your income streams in online marketing, just one arrow in your quiver, for two reasons:

  • If you want to make a substantial living online, a quit-your-day-job-no-worries living, you need to work several of the streams of how to make money on the internet. Autoblogging may initially bring in $500-$1000/mo. or eventually $3,000-$5,000/mo., but for most people, that’s not enough for a family of four to live a very comfortable lifestyle, so you’d still have to work another job.
  • Also, Google and other search engines are always changing their formula for what they accept and what they reject (called their “algorithm,) and you never know when one of your income streams might be shut down by a change in their rules, so backup streams are essential.

So after I got a base-camp started with autoblogging, I immediately started investigating and learning many other ways to make money online. And for my readers who aren’t attracted to autoblogging or are much more interested in the other tried-and-true approaches to make money online, including affiliate marketing, authority sites, e-commerce and dropshipping, I’m happy to share my personal journey of how I studied and learned these other online marketing income streams.

All of these are much more in-depth and much slower “builds,” compared the ease & quickness of throwing up autoblogs. So they will take considerably more patience and protracted work. However, building a fine, deep, long-running blog or authority website is well worth the effort – the rewards in personal satisfaction, much longer-established websites and web-presence, and much higher income potential make it certainly worth it.

Now in our very first posts, I clearly said, if the thought of spending 4-8 hours a day in front of your computer – shaping your site, tweaking all the details, and writing/submitting lots of content to draw substantial traffic to your website -  isn’t your idea of fun or how you want to spend your workdays (at least in the first year or so, till your site “catches on” and you can afford to outsource much of the tedious chores) – don’t do this! If you can’t bear the thought of being in your office that long, and prefer to be outdoors, be a carpenter. If you’d rather interact with lots of people in your job, instead of it just being you and a computer, isolated, be a teacher or a bus driver, or work in a bustling office. Because initially, this is gonna take a lot of our time, every day, just learning and doing computer activities.

Prior to doing online marketing I spent much of my time out and about, and as a creative-musician type dude, I never pictured myself spending endless hours just working away at my computer. But I have a very rich friend – he’s so rich that when people ask him what he does for a living, he answers, “I live full-time!” You gotta love that answer! And my friend Steve, made his riches from internet marketing, and he liked to say, “Give it a season of your life.” Meaning, it may not be fun to work that hard at something that’s as tedious and repetitive as computer work, but if you can do that for a “season” and set yourself up for passive income that lasts the rest of your life, is it worth it? No boss, no more eight-hour daily job, just several internet income streams that bring in a ton of money every month with just a few weekly hours of managing and tweaking your websites (which he doesn’t do, he pays someone to do that, so he has total time-freedom?)

You betcha! That’s why a non-geeky music producer and traveler took this season to sit at my computer and talk to you.

So let me share my learning journey with you, so you can see who my mentors were, what they taught me, and how that prepared me for big success in a variety of internet markets. You’ll learn how to this much quicker, and avoid many of the pitfalls I fell into. Read on – here we go…
